Title - Poolside Totem Pole

Description - My client requested an elaborate Mayan influenced totem for his poolside courtyard. The totem is built from mahogany with a copper top and a hidden base which allows the ten foot sculpture to be rotated simply by hand. After a great deal of research, the totem's design reflects a cosmology from the past which mirrors its contemporary tropical setting. Characters symbolizing the owner and other significant people were created and interlaced with a variety of themes.
